Biography
Chiropractic was first introduced to me as a young child, maybe around 7 years old. My mom has been working as a Chiropractic Assistant in Lisbon for as long as I can remember and because of that our whole family had chiropractic care.
I truly don’t think I’ve known a more avid supporter of Chiropractic as my mom is, and in many ways I think she’s a big reason why it piqued my interest.
At some point in high school I knew I wanted to pursue a career in health care. I just didn’t know what. Health, exercise, natural remedies, nutrition, etc have always been things I’ve been interested in, which meant I needed to find something that took on a more wholesome approach to health. And to me that was chiropractic. The more I visited my chiropractor or saw my amazing results it sparked this joy. My headaches, and neck aches were better, I could focus more in school, my body felt stronger and I just felt better in general. And I saw that same awareness on other people’s faces that walked out of the same clinic my mom worked at.
I decided I wanted to do that for other people too, so in August of 2013 I packed up all my belongings, cried until I couldn’t anymore as I said goodbye to everything I knew and flew across the Atlantic ocean to Traverse city, Michigan. I really didn’t know what “cold” meant until I moved there. After three years, I pushed through many snowy days and finished my Pre-medicine (ASA) credits to transfer to Sherman College of Chiropractic.
Once again I packed all my belongings and moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina where I made friendships for life and after four years of perseverance I proceeded to finish my Doctorate of Chiropractic.
It’s ironic that for such a home-body I’ve moved quite a lot and here I am doing it again. This time Cheshire, England! I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to serve this community through the blessing that is chiropractic.
